…and all through the house we were eating delicious foods, drinking juicy wines, giving and opening fun presents, taking loads of pictures and having a wonderful time! So many pictures in fact, that I will let them do the talking about Christmas Eve.

We always enjoy dressing up 🙂

Grandma prepares Christmas Eve dinner every year and we have an assortment of things, the most important being beef stroganoff. I love Grandma’s beef stroganoff!! This is the only time of year we ever get to eat it and I wait for it alllll year long.

Mom and Dad, Grandma and Larry, Me and Zach, and Uncle Greg was home from Colorado!

Present time at Grandma’s…

Then we all gathered around to play our oh-so-competitive box game. This involves a gift card being wrapped in a taped up box which is wrapped in a taped up box which goes on and on and on. You have to roll the right number on the dice to get a turn and then can only attack the box with oven mitts. Your turn is up when someone else rolls the right number!

Mom, Grandma and I swap off whose turn it is to set up the game and buy the gift card and this year that was Grandma’s job. Her husband won though so she basically got her money back. 🙂

Then it was over to Mom and Dad’s for presents with them! Here’s just the tiniest sampling… (Cause there are a LOT of presents haha!)

After a couple of hours of unwrapping mayhem we settle in to read our Christmas books that we read every single year the night before Christmas. 🙂

Zach and I got home and cuddled up with “Polar Express”, a glass of wine and I got to open my traditional “Christmas Eve present” from him. An absolutely perfect night!!

Whew! I only shared a fraction and I don’t even have Mom’s pictures yet! We are a bit overboard. 🙂 But who cares! We love being able to reflect on our events and for us, pictures = memories. Onward with this Friday (feels like Tuesday!) with yet more fun plans for the evening. 🙂
